Broad-spectrum CBD is actually another name for CBD distillate. It is CBD extract that retains all the original cannabinoids, terpenes, oils, vitamins, and flavonoids, but it goes through a special winterization process to remove THC. Broad-spectrum CBD, or CBD distillate, is practical for users wanting to reap the full-spectrum benefits without ingesting THC. Truth be told – not much. Cannabis is the main plant and like many other plant species, it can be cultivated in many ways to create various sub-plants, with various names and uses. Essentially, hemp is cannabis grown differently (i.e closer together). And CBD is extracted from hemp flowers. Here’s the science: The three sub-species form the canabis plant are; cannabis sativa, cannabis indica and cannabis ruderalis. Cannabis sativa and indica are the most commonly known sub-species that give us the different ‘weed strains’ people often talk about; sativa strains are known for their higher THC content and indica strains are known for being more mellow, with a wider variety of cannabinoid ratios. Hemp is simply cannabis sativa plants grown closely together, this causes the plants to grow extremely tall and strong, and naturally reduces the THC content too.

There are a number of different ways your body can asborb CBD and this depends on the type of product you are using. Wise Elephant Botanicals products come in both drop and cream form. We advise that you consume Wise Elephant Botanicals DROPS by holding them under the tongue for the recommended length of time. The World Health Organisation (WHO) have deemed CBD to be perfectly safe and tests have been done with incredibly strong doses and has been deemed safe to use even at those high doses. Whilst we always recommend you to be sensible, there are no indications you can over dose at the concentration in our products. We recommend you not to exceed over 200mg per day.

CBD is legal for use in the UK, providing it contains zero THC. CBD is non-pyschoactive and therefore cannot get you high.
